Recently, I purchased us a toaster. Neither of us have had one in over ten years because when we went gluten free, the idea of finding a decent bread was basically just a dream. Now, there are some good options out there and with the lack of ability to use much of our kitchen including a sink and dishwasher I decided to try it out.
In the hunt of finding a toaster the most common thing across the board I noticed is that most stop working well within a matter of months! After much research, decided on this one. I’ve had other products from this company, all of which have worked really well for me!
What I was not expecting to find (maybe this is due to how long it’s been?) is that this toaster won’t let the slices of whatever you want to toast down and stay down if there’s no power going to it!
Given all the changes in the kitchen I hadn’t tried all the outlets until recently and now when when we were trying to figure out something with a switch and if it had to be up or not – sure enough TOASTER TEST!
Quickest, easiest way to know as it’s super light weight and easy to grab if an outlet is getting electricity or not – plug it in to whichever outlet (we have 5 in the kitchen) and try to push the slice riser down. Doesn’t lock in place, no power.
