Due to AI and creepy-crawly web stuff, I will not be posting more of my actual artwork on this site. I will try and find a nice home for it somewhere though so you can take a look at it sometime!
Meanwhile, if you have a request or inquiry, just let me know!
Always Art
When words fail or fall short and there’s no way to construct it all into coherency – art is a wonderful expression of what would otherwise go unsaid.
Apple Orchard Stands
From the time I was little I was taught how to draw and angles can show distances or changes, depths to the drawing. When we would go out to eat back then almost everywhere gave you a paper placement either on the table or tray – easy turn it over and draw away!
Often times creating artwork for our server at the time or someone else at the table, this is how I would often spend time until the food showed up especially if the place didn’t have arcade games (or they were in use or out of order).
Art classes were always something that interested me and as I progressed in school took them as electives and continued to make art for a few years after graduation. However, then life got in my way and I only finally returned to it in 2014. That was a time when once again, words could not convey my thoughts but I found release through creating art.
I’ve moved from complete abstract (which I still enjoy) to realim or at least objects of which one could identify! I’m eager to always see what comes out of me when a pencil, crayon, oil pastel, colored pencil, paintbrush (watercolor or acrylic) will lead me to create when I start it.
Sometimes I work on canvases, other times just my sketch book such as the one pictured on this site. My sister ended up with that one as a gift!
Now that I am living into my creativity more I am excited to see and hopeful to share my art. Starting in 1997, artwork I create that’s outside of my sketchbook is always given to someone who either wanted it or hopefully will enjoy it. As for the artwork I do have, it’s carefully stored away in portfolios for it’s hopeful safe-keeping.
Graphics Beyond My Skill
While I always try to make whatever I’m thinking of for specific images or use cases whether it’s a CD cover for someone or a website design, there are limits to my abilities.
After using various graphic programs from MS Paint, SmartDraw, and Gimp, I usually can get my concept idea across to a graphic artist at least to the degree they can usually make exactly what I’m thinking of for a project.
As I enter the world of gaming though, it will be interesting to see how I can harness or grow my artistic abilities.
