Scrolling through the Netflix lists, I had seen the show “The Lincoln Lawyer” and originally I thought it was the movie and then saw it was a TV show starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. This lead me down a very interesting path of discovery!

The first time I had heard this title it was when the film “The Lincoln Lawyer” came out in 2011 starring Matthew McConaughey. You may be surprised to learn that both the TV series and the film were actually based a book from 2005 written by Michael Connelly (16th book).

The TV show is based on Michael Connelly’s The Brass Verdict, which is 2008. The second season will be based on their 2011 novel, The Fifth Witness and happens to be the fourth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series. The show has been renewed for a third season but no available information is available at this time if it will be another novel or creative license that will continue it.
