House

This is the most recent series that I have just finished watching via streaming service Hulu. It’s a show that someone has been trying to get me to watch for over 10 years! Finally, between lack of new shows and running out of old shows I haven’t seen before … I caved.

It actually proved to be different than I thought and always perceived it to be a – a doctor with an addiction while practicing medicine in a hospital. The acting, writing, directing, and the character development that goes on throughout the show, including the broad subject matters that a lot of shows don’t tackle it was overall very impressive.

Styled and inspired by Sherlock Holmes character, the show really stands on its own two feet. Although, fans of Sherlock will pick up on the various clues, to each their own if they appreciate them.

The show clearly comes out on top as being more than “just another medical show” with introspections and thought provoking plots that will have you thinking of your own biases, heavy topics like suicide, mental illness, STDs, secrets from those we supposedly love, and ultimately how the very little details often tell the most about what’s really going on with someone.
